Hiking Washington's Rattlesnake Ledge + Olympic National Park

In August, my husband and I were able to take a week long trip to Washington as part of our fifth anniversary.  Turns out the fifth anniversary tradition is wood, so why not be around the most beautiful forests in the Pacific Northwest?!

My favorite part of these hikes, along with the AMAZING sights, were the people we met along the way.  When you're doing a multiple hour hike you get to know the people walking with you!  Rattlesnake Ledge (pictured below) was one of my favorite places we visited.  Apparently on the weekends it's a tourists' hot spot because’s it’s only about a mile hike with epic views, but when we flew in on a Wednesday morning and headed straight there, it was pretty low-key tourist-wise and we were able to get some great shots that make it seem like we’re on the edge of the world! I’m not an avid hiker, and this hike was juuust right. It was a great first activity flying into and experiencing Washington and the West Coast for the first time. I hope the future finds us back there soon.

My husband, Luke, is used to being my subject while I’m shooting photos. We had a fun time exploring the Pacific Northwest!
