Red + Charcoal Irishman Acres Clover Barn Wedding
HELLO FROM THIS BEAUTIFUL WEDDING IN IOWA!
Austin and Rayne were married at Irishman Acres Clover Barn in Bondurant, Iowa this past October. The day started out with the Rayne and the girls getting ready in the cutest, rustic Joanna Gaines-style bridal suite. As soon as she put on her wedding dress ALL of the girls started bawling. (Myself included.) It was such an emotional moment! We then did the first look with Austin and some portraits of the two of them inside the main part of the venue that showcases the architecture of the renovated barn. Next, time to head out to the corn and clover field!
The day was extremely windy and bright, so we limited our outdoor time to save the up-do’s so they wouldn’t have blown out by the time the ceremony hit. I typically don’t photograph in bright sun, but in an effort to push myself and fully capture the day I led Austin and Rayne out to the field. Her cathedral length veil blew in the wind like a billowy dream! It’s one of my favorite moments from this day.
The ceremony took place outside under a gazebo. Austin and Rayne were able to hold the largest wedding I have shot all year (shoutout Iowa), and it was encouraging to have a sense of normalcy again. I love photographing wedding guests’ reactions and gestures, and I have missed the masses of guests in 2020.
After me saying “One more photo” to Austin about 37 times during a beautiful golden hour (that never happens, I swear…), it was time for the dance! Everyone had such a blast with the live band, laughing, enjoying company and dancing the night away.
Congrats Austin and Rayne!
