Woodhaven Wedding with a Catholic Ceremony

I photographed Emily and Logan’s wedding last November in Cannon Falls, and on their wedding day it happened to be the first snowfall! The first snowfall is always better than any other snowfall for the rest of the winter, am I right?? We weren’t even cold…? Cannon Falls is about one hour south of the Twin Cities where the new Woodhaven Wedding and Events venue is located. Woodhaven is tucked away on the Gopher Hills Golf Course and is brilliantly designed with large windows, white interior and big open spaces. It is like you’re at a photo studio, but it also has a cozy vibe because of the interior furniture choices. The event areas are spacious and bright, and truly is a blank canvas that you can use as your backdrop to whatever you can dream up. I love this building, it photographs super well with all of the natural light and simple, but comfortable furniture. You have the option of doing both your wedding ceremony and reception at Woodhaven, but this couple chose to be married at a Catholic church nearby, where Emily’s brother is a priest.

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church is a few minutes away in Miesville, MN, but close enough to Woodhaven where your guests could easily drive back and forth! I liked the artistic difference of the ornate Catholic Church for their ceremony with the simple, clean backdrop of Woodhaven in their other photos. The snow started falling as soon as their ceremony was finished, which created some fun, candid moments between Emily and Logan. It was a beautiful day!

Congrats to Emily and Logan!
