Outdoor St. Anthony Main Courtyard Wedding at Jefe Urban Cocina and Hall of Kings
Emma and Nelson were married this past September in Minneapolis, MN. The wedding day started in the Hepburn Bridal Suite on St. Anthony Main where we took bridal getting ready photos and had Emma and Nelson’s first look! The Hepburn Suite had a fun pink velvet couch with large windows that created such a dreamy, airy space. Highly recommended.
From there, we walked around St. Anthony Main to the Stone Arch Bridge and then to the Pillsbury A Mill where we took photos in front of the white walls and cool architecture of Minneapolis. We stopped in alleyways and in front of garage doors. We were only yelled at once from a lady in a third story window for accidentally trespassing. The wedding ceremony was held outside in the courtyard of Jefe Urban Cocina and Cunningham Group. At the end of the ceremony, after Emma and Nelson had exited the courtyard, a traveling wooden barrel sauna stopped in the middle of Main Street and asked if they wanted to climb inside. Turns out, saunas have been a big part of Emma’s childhood, so the opportunity to briefly enjoy it on her wedding day was such an unexpected, fun surprise! I took pictures of the sauna owner taking pictures of Emma and Nelson, and then he took photos of me taking pictures… it was a marketing free-for-all and we couldn’t stop laughing.
The day ended with more photos looking out over the Mississippi River at sunset, and then we were seated inside Jefe Urban Cocina at the Hall of Kings to enjoy the best Mexican food in all of Minnesota. It was the first time I had ever been seated at “Table One” and it’s moments like this where you enjoy the intimacy of COVID-19 affected weddings. I had a unique opportunity to get to know Emma and Nelson’s family and friends throughout the day, and felt so much love for them from all of their guests!
Congrats Emma and Nelson!
