Minneapolis Aghd

Miriam and Paulo were married this past winter on a balmy 10 degree day. They met overseas while studying abroad, and Paulo moved from Portugal to Minneapolis 4 days before the wedding. He was such a trooper and braved the cold for a some photos outside. He surprised us all!

I really enjoyed being able to witness and be apart of a culture that is so different than my own. Miriam and Paulo’s families were both so welcoming and open to teaching me about their background. The sofreh aghd is the table spread during the ceremony where different items are placed that represent deeper meaning in marriage. Honey representing sweetness and painted eggs representing fertility are a few examples.

Thanks for letting me be apart of your day Miriam and Paulo!
